Dicksie Mathison, is the Director of the Worldwide Friends for International students at University of Southern California, in 1987 while being employed.
Dicksie was born in Denver, Colorado, has a B.A. in English and Bible from Barrington College in Rhode Island and a Master’s in Professional Writing from USC. She worked fourteen years as an English as a Second Language teacher for adults in the Hacienda La Puente School District before she retired in 2003. Before that she worked for eight years in public relations in the Institute of Safety and Systems Management at USC.
Later, she married Daniel Mathison, who joined her in the ministry until he went home to be with the Lord in 2015. She lives in Montebello and has three sons, all of whom lives in Whittier, and nine grandchildren. She raised her family and worked in personal staffing for the federal government.
She is active at Whittier Area Community Church, exercises daily at the YMCA, and enjoys contra dancing on weekends, occasional travel, and reading all the time.
