Muzzammil Dadabhoy
Director of Muslim Life & Campus Imam
Shaikh Muzzammil Dadabhoy is the inaugural Director of Muslim Life and Campus Imam at the University of Southern California.
In this role, he provides pastoral care, spiritual counseling, and religious education for the university community, and oversees programs, events, and other opportunities focused on Muslim Life. Prior to this year, he volunteered as the Muslim Chaplain at California State University, Long Beach and has served the Orange County Muslim community for decades in different educational and pastoral capacities.
Born and raised in Southern California, his pursuit for sacred knowledge led him on a journey overseas spanning two decades. He studied in South Africa, Pakistan, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah during that time. Shaikh Muzzammil earned his undergraduate law degree in Judiciary Studies from Umm al-Qura University in Makkah where he also completed a diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies. Additionally, he earned his LL.M. degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California.
He currently resides in Huntington Beach with his parents, wife, and children, and remains passionate about Islamic education, law, counseling, and practice & spirituality. While he’s been known for his mean crossover, dazzling handles, dimes dropped, and lockdown-D in times past, he is now more often seen chasing his children around with chocolate-chip cookie crumbs in his beard.
