James Kincaid has been a professor in the English Department at USC since 1987, having served as Director of Graduate Studies through 1993. He has received numerous awards including the Raubenheimer Award for Teaching and Scholarship in 2000.
His teaching and research interests include Critical Theory; American Studies; Ninteenth Century and Queer Studies. He has written a number of books and articles including Annoying the Victorians, 1995; Child-Loving: The Erotic Child and Victorian Culture, 1992; and “When Whiporwills Call,” Concerning Eve Sedgewick, 2001. Additionally Professor Kincaid has been published in several journals and has been active on Boards and Committees in his field.
