Nick Warner’s research areas are field theory and string theory, and their applications ranging from fundamental interactions in particle physics, through critical phenomena to quantum integrable systems. His particular focus has been on the properties of supersymmetric field theories, and his work has frequently involved the solution of problems in one area of physics by methods more traditionally associated with other areas of physics. His most recent research uses the ideas of classical integrable systems and shows how they can be used to understand some the recent work on the phase structure of the strong interaction in particle physics.
