Thomas Ward

Thomas Ward is an Adjunct Professor in the department of Anthropology. He received his BA (Magna Cum Laude) from Southern Methodist University and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. His research interests revolve around street gangs, with a particular focus on Central American immigrant youth. He has served as an expert witness on urban gangs in immigration and murder trials for the U.S. Federal and Criminal Courts. Dr. Ward was recently a participant in the Eurogang Conference. In addition, he is also a member of Sin Fronteras, a non-profit organization that provides services to incarcerated youth.
