Jim Wilbar, is the Director of the Worldwide Friends at University of Southern California.

Jim Wilbar is a graduate of Biola University, and Talbot Graduate School of Theology. Previously, he studied Communications at Michigan State University; and worked in the media, including four years as a news writer at KFI Radio in Los Angeles.

Following graduate studies, Jim served as an associate pastor at First Baptist Church, Hollywood, CA; and then as senior pastor at College Baptist Church, Hillsdale, MI.

Jim later served at HCJB World Radio in Quito, Ecuador, where he produced and hosted the flagship program of their English Language Service.

After returning to the States, Jim became senior pastor of West Adams Christian Church, a Japanese-American church in Los Angeles. He has also served as pastor at Foothill Christian Church in La Crescenta, CA, Immanuel Baptist Church in Compton, CA, and Temple Baptist Church in Los Angeles, CA.

Jim met his wife, Maria in Quito, Ecuador, where she hosted a program in the French Language. She is a professor of Modern Languages, at Biola University, La Mirada, CA, and at Concordia University, Irvine, CA.
